The terms, plainly

You need an account to order. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.

If you are under sixteen, a parent or guardian must confirm your account by email before you can order, and at checkout it is your parent or guardian who enters the delivery address and agrees to the order.

You pay in naira if your account is in Nigeria, in cedis in Ghana, and in US dollars everywhere else. Each piece has a price we set in each of those currencies. Elsewhere we may also show an estimate in your own currency; it is only a guide, and you are charged in dollars.

The total — pieces, any discount, delivery and any donation you add — is worked out by us and shown before you pay. That is the amount you are charged.

Payment is taken by Paystack or Stripe on their own page; we never see or store your card. Your order is confirmed when the payment provider tells us it has been paid, and we email you. If a payment does not match the order, the order is not made until we have sorted it out with you.

Every piece is made after you order it, in the size you chose or — with Premium — to the measurements you gave. It usually spends three to five days in the workroom. Delivery times from ordering are:

• Nigeria and Ghana: 7–9 days from ordering
• Rest of Africa: about two weeks
• Rest of the world: about two weeks

These are our honest estimates, not guarantees. If something holds your order up, we tell you.

You can cancel an order from your orders page for a full refund until cutting starts. Once your cloth has been cut, the piece is being made for you and the order cannot be cancelled.

Every piece is made to order for you, so we do not take returns for a change of mind or a size you chose that turns out not to suit. If your piece has a fault — it is not made to the size you ordered, or it is not made properly — write to us within fourteen days of delivery. We will repair or remake it, and if we cannot put it right, we will refund you. This does not affect any rights you have under the law where you live.

Premium and Unlimited scans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the price shown when you join, until you cancel. You can cancel from your settings at any time; you keep what you paid for until the end of the current period, and it does not renew.

Your first order is 15% off if placed within seven days of making your account. The first 100 customers join the Wall of Fame, with its own discounts. During a sale, pieces on your wishlist are discounted for you. Each piece gets its best available discount; discounts are never added together.

Donations pay for fabric and thread for girls who cannot afford a piece, and are recorded with what they were spent on.

The stylist and helper are part of Premium. They give suggestions, not promises. Photographs you give the stylist are used for that answer and not kept. If you connect your own AI key, that service’s terms and charges apply to what it does.

If you connect an assistant to your account, it acts for you within the permissions you chose; you can disconnect it at any time from your settings. Paying always happens on the payment provider’s page, opened by you.

Reviews must be honest and about a piece you bought. We read them before they are published and may decline or remove ones that are unkind, unsafe for children, or not about the piece. Only your first name is shown.

If your order is delivered in Nigeria, these terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria; in Ghana, by the laws of Ghana; anywhere else, by the laws of Canada. Wherever you are, you keep any consumer rights the law where you live gives you and that cannot be taken away by a contract.

If we change these terms, the version on this page when you placed an order is the one that applies to it.
