Offcuts
Offcuts have a future.
We turn leftover fabrics into new designs, not landfill.
01
Every cut leaves scraps
However carefully a pattern is laid on the cloth, cutting leaves pieces behind — curves under an armhole, the corner of a skirt panel. In most workrooms they are swept up and thrown away.
02
We weigh them and keep them
Ours are weighed and logged in the workroom’s offcut book, sorted by fabric and colour, and kept until they become something.
03
Then we sew them into new things
Tote bags, scrunchies, bag linings and small pieces — patchwork where the colours sit well together. They make up the Offcuts collection.
04
And we publish the numbers
The figures beside this page are the workroom’s own logged numbers, never rounded up. They appear as soon as the first offcuts are weighed.
